Kiyosaki ... 12.2% inflation !

he's at it again ... "I estimate that in 40 years, $25,000 will probably have the equivalent purchasing power of $250 today. " http://finance.yahoo.com/expert/arti...chricher/28092 ... that's 12.2% annually over the next 40 years. what planet does he come from?

i read a book by someone who predicted the tech boom and the current boom way back in 1993. he says deflation is coming in the next decade

I have read that he can shoot fireballs out of his ass so long as you keep buying his products.

Both high inflation and/or deflation will be agressively battled by the Fed and Government.

I would agree that certain services or products may experience inflated costs or deflated costs. For example Health Care costs are expected to outpace general inflation. If we did have high inflation, I expect it would be short lived.... much less than 40 years.

Re: Kiyosaki ... 12.2% inflation !

the theory of deflation is that the boomers are about to go past their peak spending age. At least based on historical data. the last time this happened was in 1929. But you can write a book on the differences in discretionary spending between then and now.
