Kudos to Am. Express Extended Warranty

I don't know if AMEX does it by themselves, or the extended warranty protection is handled by a third party insurer. All I know is I have now submitted a total of 3 claims over a 4 year period. Fortunately, each time I still had the original sales receipt so that made the claim filing easier.
In all 3 cases I got a credit posted to my account within days of filing the claim. Maybe all of the credit card company warranty services are as good, but all I know is I'm a fan - and loyal customer - of American Express.

Good to know since that has not been my experience. When I submitted a claim on a flat screen TV I had to pull together copies of the receipt, the warranty, and a third party estimate of the repair costs. It eventually got covered but it was a fair amount of effort to submit all the paperwork to them from what I recall.
