Leaving LEICX

Have about 50K in LEICX. Has been there about 5-6 yrs. Want to transfer total to Vanguard Wellington. Don't need funds for 10 yrs...looking for stable 5-6% return over next 10 years. Also, is there a Wellington equivalent offered by TR Price or Fidelity. Should I do the transfer before or after the year end?

If it is in your taxable account, wait until next year.

What is the reason to wait until next year?

Income / capital gains taxes. Sell on January 2, and you can effectively put off paying the taxes until April 2007, depending on your personal tax situations, etc., etc.

Fidelity has Fidelity Balanced [FBALX]. T Rowe Price has TRP Capital Appreciation [PRWCX] and TRP Balanced [RPBAX].
