It looks like Illinoise has lost its place as the most fiscally irresponsible government institution in regards to pensions.

Among other things, one only has to work three (3) years in the Mariana Islands to be able to take a pension at age 62. And after death the pension is payable not only to one's spouse but to one's children. Some pensioners have adopted their grandchildren after they started receiving their pension, so it looks like the payments will go on for a very long time.
Sorry, Illinoise. Somebody is even more generous than you.
Oh... one slight problem. The Mariana pension system is filing for bankruptcy. The courts are trying to decide if this is legal. Sounds like a win for the lawyers if nobody else.
