Money and a sports analogy...

In particular, to football.

I just thought of this, thought I'd share.

Anyone care to chime in?

Making money is like having an offense.

Saving money is like having a defense.

Having a high-powered, flashy offense is great but in the end, it's having that great stingy defense that'll win games for you.

Re: Money and a sports analogy...

Balance is the key.

A balanced offence-defence is what is required.

You have to make points to win games....you have to prevent the other team from making points to prevent them from winning the game.

Wages (or other income) produces points.

Savings prevent the other team (inflation and expenses) from making more points than your offence.
