Nest Thermostat- In floor/Gas Backup/Air Conditioning

We are downsizing and building a new patio home (one story on a slab foundation). Primary heat will be in-floor heat with gas forced air back up, and air conditioning. We are in MN.

Anyone know how the Nest thermostat should be configured, or if we would need two of them? Logic I think is one for the backup heat and the air (they need the ductwork), but can all three be put on one thermostat??

Wondering if anyone has similar configuration?

Nest can easily deal with in-floor radiant heating, and the a/c is part of it -- Nest is usually set up for both heating and cooling.

Your gas backup system might need a second Nest, but if you contact Nest they will be able to tell you.

In your case, I might even consider having Nest send one of their authorized installers to put it in for you.
