New Commodity Fund

New today, an index fund holding 6 commodities.* It sounds interesting, but I think I'll watch awhile to see how it goes.

I wonder why vanguard hasnt done anything with commodities?

It seems Vanguard is always 3-5yrs behind the curve when it comes to opening useful funds (ie., not another large cap fund-of-funds.)

I doubt they will open one before the year 2016.

Barclays Global Investor is planning to offer an ETF that tracks the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index and another ETF to track oil.
