As usual, the Oblivious Investor provides great insights:

His bottom line:

I'm afraid they are right. Personally I own Pimco Income Fund PIMIX, Doubleline Total Return DBLTX and Vanguard Total Bond VBMPX. In the end I bet it all averages out.
