Is there an index fund or ETF that invests in inflation-protected securities from outside the US? I've seen these mentioned in a few books, but don't know if they are available to US investors.

I believe WIP has these securities.

In addition to WIP -- I was curious, also, and did this Google search:

"inflation-protected securities" +non-us +etf - Google Search

The listing for ETF Trends says this:

5. Non-U.S. Stocks. Remember this works both ways: If inflation does not turn out to be a problem here in the United States and the U.S. dollar actually strengthens versus other currencies, your foreign stock investments will suffer. There are dozens of international ETFs that hold non-U.S. stocks – visit the provider’s page to find out the holdings and decide whether they’re right for you.

A slightly modified Google search found this thread at Boogleheads that has this question somewhere in it (I didn't read it, yet).

Bogleheads :: View topic - Help Ducks Rebalance, Please. :)

You can also add BWX and BWZ to your pile to research. Both intl bond ETF's managed by, I think, Barclays.
