I still have some options and stock from my previous employer. My previous large employer split off from another very large company last year. This December, everybody in the split off company will have to sell their options or otherwise they will lose it. I wondered what usually the effect on the stock option price is when everybody finally gets to sell it at the deadline. Would it be best to wait until everybody cashes in or do it well before that or does it make no difference? This stock usually goes up with the christmas sales.
