Yeah, not too likely (especially lately).* I've rented the past 7 years in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.* I think my rent increased a total of about 5% in that time period and not at all in the past 3-4 years.* It was due to go up $10/month ( about 1% ) this year if I would have renewed my lease, but I moved to a new place.

I do enjoy these lengthy articles where they establish a premise early on in the article that has no actual basis and doesnt apply. Then that screws up the rest of the process and conclusions.
