My answer was a bit high as I answered for the whole family at $185.........four cell phones as have two college kids.

I realize that utilities is quoted in the title but it seems the focus is telecom.

I think Internet access is so necessary these days, it should be thought of as a utility but I budget the rest as discretionary. I’m paying $65/mo to Spectrum for 200 Mbps (which is actually exceeded over the 5GHz wi-fi band - amazing!).

I clicked $51-$100, but when I added it up, it's actually $101.
Code:

The above assumes one cell phone. In reality, all of the above is shared by DW and myself. So if I added her cellphone, the total would be $156... divided by 2 is $78 per person per month. So I answered $51-$100.

Cell: $26 t-mobile unlimited everything

TV: $0 OTA free, Netflix free with t-mobile

Total: $85

How much is your average monthly cost for TV, landline, cellphones and internet?

$00.00 for TV
$00.00 for landline
$30.00 for cell phone
$79.99 for cable internet

$109.99 TOTAL

I get my television for free (OTA). I would pay for it but I just don't like watching TV any more. At least, nowhere near as much as browsing the internet, playing my video games, conversing with F, and so on.

I ditched my landline since I got tired of paying for spam phone calls. I still get them on my cell phone, but not as many and my cell phone is always nearby.

My (mid-level) Cox Cable internet is very important to me. I might eventually spring for their faster service and in fact I really should do that this month. Then, I will be paying more.

Cell phone and internet cost the same, to the penny, every month. So, I always pay a total of $109.99 for these services.

Averaging a total of $182 this year. That should drop to about $130 next year since after waiting patiently for 20 years :) we are at long, long last getting fiber broadband service. That will provide much faster, cheaper and far more reliable internet speeds which will allow us to drop Dish and select a less costly streaming service.

Woo-hoo!!! At long last! :D

I am so happy for you and your family! This can be a huge improvement to one's quality of life.

There are some ambiguities in the question. Does TV include all video or just actual TV channels? Does cell phone include just the service or also the cost of the phone?

TV - Playstation Vue - $54.11, Hulu - $8.63 - Netflix - $15.14 (We also get some video through Amazon Prime but that is a bonus because we have Prime mostly for the shipping).

Landline - None

Cell phone - About $138 for the service (Verizon, includes service on an Apple Watch). We are also currently paying for 2 Apple iPhones and that cost is not included in the above as it is time limited.

Internet - $48.82. Will go up $5 when the first year is up and then up another $5 at the end of the second year.

OMG... this must be the first poll in the history of e-r.org with ambiguities. :D

TV is for what you watch... some people are satisfied with basic cable and others want the premium channels.

Cell phone was not intended to include the cost of the phone... just the service.. some people have just talk but these days most people have talk/text and data.

Interesting that the definition of utilities in US is different. In Singapore, utilities means power+cooking gas+water.

Also realized Internet is expensive in the US. In Singapore 500mbps fibre broadband costs S$29. That is the cheapest. The more expensive 1gbps and 2gbps cost like $40-50.

I'm high I guess. Single:

$149 Cell plan, nation wide, unlimited data with no throttling (also my only internet), 2 sim cards
$10 Amazon Prime
$11 Netflix
$8 VPN ($99/yr)

$178 total

I'm adding Youtube TV next summer.

We own a home in Florida and a home in Mexico.

Florida
TV and Internet: $147 (bundled with Spectrum)
Cell: $50 (T-Mobile unlimited calls, texts, data)
Landline: none
Total: $197

Mexico (in US dollars equivalent):
TV: none (we watch our Spectrum from US via Slingplayer)
Internet and Landline: $17 (TelMex phone company)
Cell: $12 (TelCel, unlimited calls, text, data)
Total: $29
