I just ran a search on the board and found no listing for this. A very interesting portfolio allocation calculator tool at:

I am not sure of the validity of it's calculations but it does reference 4 common allocation models and allows some customization. Anyone have any backround on this?

Curious as to thoughts of the group.
 
Hi Mysto, thanks for the link. That site has a great user interface, but I wish they provided more information about how the selections are made. It's nice that you can set the risk tolerance and optional asset classes. Their fund selections are also good - I'd probably pick the same funds. However, without knowing why the suggested allocations are what they are, I can't put much weight on their recommendations.

It's certainly interesting though.

Thanks for the link. Their fund selections are mostly either ETF or index, and their allocation seems reasonable.
