Question about applying for Medicare online

Update, not very nice weather today lots of rain so we decided to try and make the drive to the regional office. Got there 15 min early, was the second person at the kiosk and was doing my Medicare enrollment within 20 minutes.

I had a current US passport. I was then asked if I had any more corroborating documents, WTH, I just showed you a passport. Went into my envelope pulled out my British birth cert. My military registration of a child born to a father on active duty and my 63 year old US passport. Then they seemed satisfied, but I thought a passport was the gold standard.

Spousal Medicare sign-up done after I also presented a certified copy of my marriage license.
