Are you aware that the Dow quote is reflecting today's activity and the mutual funds are priced at yesterday's close and reflect yesterday's activity? That means your rare up day is because we had an up day yesterday and an up day (well, so far) today.

Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. I was just too lazy to change my widget to reflect ETFs.

Anyhoo, an up day yesterday, and maybe today too!

You missed the TSX up 100 points.

But, not everything is up. Gold is down.

Are you sure gold is down? According to 24-hour Spot Chart - Gold it looks up marginally to me for today.

It seems like we have had six months of mostly up days. Bonds and equities at least.

EEEK! I know, I know, sloppy post.
Must remember, engage brain then hit the submit button. I actually tried to delete it, but it was too late.
FWIW: VBMFX did close up .39% today, and VIPSX was up .24%. but BWX closed down a tad, so my dashboard widget isn't all pretty and green.
