Recovering 2007 Levels?

Am I misunderstanding this headline -- it doesn't look like we're near 2007 levels?

It can't mean that we are at 2007 highs, yet, because we aren't. I think it just means that we are headed in that direction. (?) I think it is a confusing title as well!

It is not confusing, it is wrong.

We are not at 2007 levels, not the highs, not the lows, not anything in between.

It says we are recoverING '07 levels, not that we have recoverED '07 levels. Tricky wording.

Well, both 2007 and 2009 take the same number of keystrokes during their respective years. That's probably what they mean.

It's just plain wrong. IMO "recovering" implies strongly that you are in the ballpark. 1100 is NOT in the ballpark and before 2008 had been left behind in 2003(?). Clearly you have to be above 1300 if not 1400 to be able to talk about being the the ballpark of 2007 levels!!!

Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy! Bad journalism!

Should have said "Recovering 2008".
