Got a callback and they'll be signing a one-year lease next Wednesday.

Another Air Force retiree going into civil service for a few years at the same command he retired from. Very nice people. Another family who really likes Hawaii and is probably renting while deciding whether to buy. It's an unexpected bonus that his spouse is an enthusiastic gardener. We're likin' these tenant demographics...

Only got two calls during the month of our rental listing, but it's way too early for the military moving season. Schofield Barracks' 25th ID just had 4500 soldiers return from Iraq so the rental market should come back to life. Zero Craigslist interest in our FSBO. The good news is that the place has only been vacant for 17 days in the last two years.

They would issue title insurance and do a deed transfer in my experience, but it would be subject to the first mortgage, and be noted as an exception on the title polidy.

As a landlord, I'll take pets over toilet-training toddlers any day...
Did I tell you about the young couple who thought it was ok to flush the new-born's diapers. $450 dollars and 2 trips from Roto-rooter later ...
