Yeah you want spark or hot surface igniters for gas.

That welder is way cool and I've used it many times. Most recently on my fireplace insert install. Even used it to weld up this wood rack;

Unless you have a tomboy wife/girlfriend I wouldn't go there -

I buy cheap to mid range appliances and replace them when they break.

Yes.

if I did not buy the 2nd home in 2005, which I paid more for than my main home, and invested that money and also the operating cost over the years, I would have another million buck.

EXACTLY !! Was watching youtube videos with Stott and one with Kitces talking about building up a Roth. Ia back door strategies and how your heirs would greatly appreciate the tax free status of doing that. WTF!!!

Spend it!!

Anyway, less expensive to maintain than buying a new range.

We keep our vehicles for quite a while. Up until Thursday they were a 2001 Lexus RX 300 with 220k miles, a 2004 Ford Expedition with 190k miles and a 2010 Lexus HS 250h with 118k miles. Only the HS was bought used. Thursday we traded the Expedition in on a new 2017 Lexus RX 350, luxury edition ($58k). We figured since we’ll probably have it for another 15 years, may as well buy new and be nice and comfy as well.

Yeah, we maybe tend to live too frugally. Currently struggling to pull the trigger on replacing our 1996 Saturn. Planning to share ownership of a Prius Prime plug-in hybrid with our daughter. But the Saturn still runs ok, although cosmetically a wreck, but it doesn't quite fit the need any more. Old frugal habits die hard.
