A good article, though a little dense. I also wished they had used a 4% withdrawal rate & lower expense ratios in the mutual fund scenario.

I'd also like to see the 4% on the same basis. Most retirees want stable income, the 4% SWR is the classic attempt to provide what people want. None of these strategies attempt to provide that.

I understand that this the article is about "mutual funds and annuities". Still, it seems that deferring SS is the best annuity for most people, I'd like to see the numbers for it as well.
