As a somewhat newer investor it was interesting to see myself face the same rollover tempations many Americans face every day. A big fat check, waiting to be cashed...only I sent mine onto VG.
But that's really only 1/2 of it...getting the checks too VG or any other investment firm usually doesn't happen...I've read the statistics and its staggering how many folks never reinvest there 401ks when leaving a company.
Or the number of people who let there 401ks sit in a bad investment for a very long time.
I wasn't tempted because I had a plan and a goal and I stuck to it (Asset Alloc Strat)..but I can only imagine for folks who don't have a plan or goal..and to have a large sum of money dropped upon them with no clue...man the temptations...jet skis, boats, cruises, new cars and trucks...
or your future...you decide.
