Saving money on auto/home insurance

Just received my renewal notice for home insurance. 17% increase, YIKES !

I have been searching around and have found that MetLife (didn't realize they did home/auto ins) is WAY cheaper than others for essentially the same coverage.

Has anyone here had experience with MetLife for auto and home insurance ?

If you are a military veteran peacetime or not you can get great rates from USAA. I was with State Farm forever and they can't even come close to USAA. They used to be only available to officers or war veterans but now they have opened it up to anybody with a honorable discharge.
