Show us your favorite toy!

Not a financial post, but who minds a thread to avoid thinking about the dismal topic of filthy lucre? Anyway, thought it would be fun for us to post a link to a pic of your favorite toy in retirement (or pre-retirement), and tell us about it. After all, in retirement we can never go back, but we can act like 6 year olds and play with our toys!!

Here's mine. It's 1986 Porsche 911 I've owned for 5 years. It has brought me nothing but fun and enjoyment, albeit with a few large checks written to my great mechanic, John Walker. Sensual road feel and symphonic engine, and decently quick (0 - 60 in less than 6 seconds). Here's a few pics:

Love Beetles! Anything with an aircooled motor in the a**!

My first car was a '66 Beetle. Restored it to perfect via boxboy job.

A sister ship (exact same model as ours) of our favorite toy, and where we were this afternoon...

Traded in my 2001 Boxster S for a 2009 Boxster S back in March. Love the color, but hard to keep clean. Good thing I'm retired

That's great! I'd love to use it to its potential against various unsavory neighbors in my area!

My favorite toy really IS a toy!

Here they are: three 3DSXL portable video game consoles, that connect wirelessly to each other. With three consoles, the characters in my Animal Crossing towns can visit the towns on my other consoles via wireless. It's complicated but just trust me, it's lots more fun with 3 consoles than one.

I take one with me in my purse wherever I go. I have had thousands of hours of fun with these devices.

At 6.5 knots cruising speed, we have no choice but to enjoy the journey....we are loving our little 1984 pocket trawler and not having to worry about a schedule. Planning to take her down the ICW this fall but until then, enjoying our little toy here in the Chesapeake Bay!

Reminds me of my early lurking days here when Dory36 posted his adventures on the water. Strange that I never had the desire myself, but I could get lost in the fantasy of "life at sea" on a self-contained home-away-from-home. Enjoy and tell us about your adventures!
