TAXACT not so free anymore

While overseas, I used the free version of taxact for 9 years, efiling my 1040 return. I returned to the states late last year and also needed to file a state tax return so I purchased their Basic with one state. I was ready to efile my return but found out that their Basic version NOW only allows 1040 A or EZ efiling/printing and the cost of their state return does not include efiling. I guess they want to catch up for all that lost revenue from their past free software.

You can check the IRS freefile site, if you qualify for any of the free versions

Freetaxusa is priced similar to what taxact was
