I am curious about taxes. If you are invested 75/25 equities/fixed income, what type of tax bracket are you generally going to be in. Figuring 130-170k annual withdrawals (pre-tax of course), is it safe to assume that most of that income would be long term capital gains and or qualified dividends and therefore be taxed at 15% (under current tax laws)? And, I imagine some being from tax free bonds (federal, possibly state).

Currently, as my portfolio has grown, I have been careful about rotating out of stocks and mutual funds when they are long term, but I have never used my portfolio for generating income, so I don't really know what I would be 'forced' to do when I am making sure to withdraw a certain amount each month/year.

When using the fire calculator, getting a feel for what the after tax amount would be seems pretty important to know where you stand.

Thanks
