Browsing through Treasury Direct, it looked like the July 16 ten year TIPS gave something over 2.6%, plus inflation. Swedroe's scale, followed by some on this Board, would suggest moving a chunk of money into TIPS at that rate.

Did I read the numbers corectly?
How can I find out the current price/yield on TIPS in the secondary market, since I missed that auction?
And what is the cheapest/best way to set up a TIPS IRA account, with an IRA CD that matures this month? No current broker or account set up now...

At last month's auction, 10-year TIPS were issued at a YTM of 2.749% plus inflation. The coupon was 2.625%, but the price was below par.

The current YTM on 10-year TIPS is 2.49%.

I buy mine through an IRA brokerage account at Vanguard. Commission rates at auction range from 0 to $25 depending on the amount of assets you have at Vanguard.
