Vang Brokerage Service
I was talking with a customer rep at VBS about transferring my mutual fund to VBS when he told me about some changes to pricing that Vanguard is introducing starting Aug 15th
1. You are eligible for Voyager if you have 100K in vanguard funds. Previously this was 250k+ in assets at Vanguard. I am expecting changes to the Flagship eligibity also but forgot to ask him 2. The cost of trades goes down to $20 from $22.50 not much but inching down 3. None of this is on the website but they tell you when you call them - So it might be worth it to call / wait till Aug 15 just an FYI -h

Great! They are letting all the rift raft in!

I am a real fan of VB's index funds, but I do not use them for brokerage. Fido, Schwab, and others are far more dedicated to making discount brokerage a core part of their business...

Guess it is official. $100,000 to $500,000 gets you Voyager service (for the poor rift raft). 500,000-$1,000,000 gets you a new "Voyager Select" service (for the low to middling rich). $1,000,000 and up gets you Flagship service (for the middling to upper-middling rich).
