I've been underwhelmed at Schwab and Etrade with the pace of moving money. I did learn a little trick to help though. As I have a checking acct at Schwab and a savings acct at Etrade if I EFT/ACH money into the bank acct the worst wait is 3 days (I believe per banking regs) and I can same day transfer from their "internal" bank to their brokerage acct. If I EFT/ACH to the brokerage acct I do not get help from the banking regs and can be waiting 5-7 days.
