VWIAX is this as safe as MM

I have some of my cash sitting in VWIAX. Is this a smart place to be sitting while on the sidelines?

Sidelines? VWIAX will do fine as long as stocks and bonds do fine.

It is almost 40% equities, so you are not quite all the way on the sidelines holding it. *But it is pretty low volatility.
