I saw this on my Quicken screen. Surely, it's a computer error.

Went to Yahoo Finance. Saw the same terrible quotes.

Log on to my Vanguard accounts. Yep, big loss.

Went back to Quicken. It's now fixed, as Vanguard now reports the corrected quotes.

Look on Yahoo again. The quotes are also corrected.

I will not bother to log back onto Vanguard.

I can't say for sure but it's likely a mistake. I was just watching nightly business report and they said there were some glitches in the market returns for today and what is reported may not be the correct number. So what to do? Wait and see what it says in the morning is my feeling.

You guys are funny. Glad I went to play minature golf with DW, DD and DSIL instead of getting stressed up.

My Vanguard bond funds usually update around 6 to 615 EST. Today they didn’t update until 755 EST. That is unusual.

Sorry, my fault! Obviously they just did this to get my mind off tomorrow's knee surgery.

Just a minor computer error or mistake.

Wait until a bad guy explodes a high-altitude device to cause an EMP wiping out all those bits that represent your assets.

Mr. A logging onto his account: "Your balance is 2.1 shares of Wellesley".

Mrs. B logging onto her account: "Not recognized user name".

Now, that's something to worry about.

That's another reason I'm not giving up my monthly paper statements.

I can't even get logged in. Tried it on my phone. Tried it on my PC. Nothing.

us West coasters miss all the action. I logged in about 4 pm and said to myself...that is weird. How did I lose that much in one day? I investigate and see Wellesley down 56%! LOL...I say self...that has got to be a mistake. Since corrected. Balance fund is down 30% now at nearly 5:30 pm West Coast standard Time

somebody at Vanguard is getting some overtime tonight

*maybe this is how wealth does not pass 3 generations

Most other financial websites show "sane" prices for VG funds... must be just their website

Don't bother to log into your Vanguard account to look. Your money is fine. You will just add to the bog down.

they are still ciphering. Total Bond fund shows down .02 cents in one account and up .05 cents in another. one of my cash accounts not showing up although the total amount in the account is close to correct. I suspect a lot of VG holders are logging in to see WTF

My list of Vanguard funds shows VWINX up.04 for the day.
What am I missing?

I just got off the phone with a VG rep and I was told it was a calculation error.

It is now fixed.

This has to be the reason why my Vanguard rep recommended that I do not invest in Wellesley or Wellington.
