Bogle's Folly. All praise to index funds. 40 years and counting. Ya gotta love time in the market.
Retirement stash in hindsight maybe 90% index and doing nothing, 10% everything else (1966-present) - real estate rentals, raw land, coins, a patented gold mine(don't ask it's embarrassing), dividend stocks, penny stocks, tech stocks and some timberland. Psst Wellesley and many other mutual funds over the decades.
I still do a 'few good stocks' to keep the male hormones happy as well as watching football in season.
heh heh heh - a monumental failure as an astute speculator/investor.
The index fund I didn't watch that much while auto investing regular amounts over a very long period of time turned out to be the big dog on the porch.
