Assuming that certain costs for most of us are somewhat similar when it comes to the cost of food, TV, DSL, clothing, car insurance. Then I see the biggest variable in the following costs:

Real Estate Taxes (Assessed value needed here)
State Income Taxes
Homeowners Insurance
Utilities
Medical Insurance (type and age needed to be noted here)

I decided to include medical insurance because I did learn recently there can be a big difference in the cost of medical insurance depending on where you live. Example: Medigap F policy almost twice the cost in Florida as in Arizona.

Also, Real Estate taxes can "appear" low when you are grandfathered in with a "max yearly cap" placed on your homestead, but for those purchasing a similar value home in the same area, your taxes could be four times higher (so that factor needs to be noted) as it would negate the "low cost" factor for your real estate taxes.

Anyway for the rest of us looking for a cheaper alternative, who cares to share these costs with the rest of us.

I'll bet you could live here pretty cheap !

your only expenses would be a bag of beans and a bag of rice every month. Maybe $50-100/month total

- Stop working now and start liven ;)
