Nope. I worked for a megacorp and telecommuted, as did most of my coworkers. We met in person at most once per year, so I wasn't really friends with anyone. Also, I'm so happy to finally have gotten away from the corporate environment that I prefer to have zero ties.

I have a few close friends from jobs in the 1980s, none since. I have not contacted
anyone from my last place of employment (1998-2006) since retiring. None were
unpleasant people, but there is a high bar for who I want to spend time with -
they have to be more fun than my dogs, since that is where I would have to cut
back. That is a pretty high bar.

Nope. After being retired one year, I have "moved on".

Even though I was with the company almost 30 years, I didn't "socialize" with the other folks outside of the company.

I've had several "jobs" over the last 40+ years; this was just another one.

Anyway, I've been so busy in retirement (mostly volunteer work) I have a "full life" as it is. Don't know where I would find the time to "socialize", even if I wanted to.

You are correct in saying that you may get tired to hear "work stories" (drama?). I saved/invested many years to be able into my current "state of bliss". No reason to revisit something I was trying to get away from, for many years...

No.
(You had to ask? )

Once in a great while I see someone at the grocery store and exchange a few pleasantries.

Yes, I do. There are 8 retirees who meet monthly for lunch and to catch up. Several of us (there has been from 4 to 6 of us on different cruises) go on cruises every other year. Several of us (including one that is still working) have went on religious retreats together. One former co-worker and her SO and my DH and I went out to eat and to the movies last weekend. We have been to our co-worker's children's weddings and they came to my DD's wedding and I have unfortunately been to some of their parents and DHs funerals also. I go back to the office a few times per year for retirements and holiday luncheons. We were more like a family,(for the most part), than simply co-workers.
