Tailgate is weighing in late on the age thing.. I'm 62

Last real day in office is today... powers of invisibility growing and growing.

Party was Tuesday... I do check in again Monday for a short celebration in the afternoon and then I'm toast.

Surreal! Great feelings of stress being lifted off and floating away, plus some feeling of anticipation...

It's interesting watching the corporate email traffic of all the worker bees and managers still buzzing around the hive doing, what seems to me at this point today, to be inconsequential busy work and pointless tasks...

Well today I got my walking papers that included severance, vested stock, bonus, vacation paid out and one last paycheck coming in Jan. MiniCorp may be going out of business so they are cutting back, boss asked if I wanted a reference letter, I told him no thanks because I was retiring. He was like REALLY, and I said I was just waiting for this to close the deal and start a new course for the rest of my life.

Called DW and told her and she started to do the happy dance and told me that we were going out to celebrate.

This will be the first time since I was 12 that I will not be working, seem kind of strange, but I am sure I will get used to it.
