Have you all seen an article, study, website, etc. comparing relatively current costs of living in various countries/cities worldwide? If so would you please tell us where we may find it?

FIRE in 9 months and counting(believe me, almost minute by minute...) and we are fine tuning our options. (should have north of 900K plus 22K annual pension + small med bennies). DW will be 55 and so will I-.

With the cost of living in New York City set as a baseline of 100, compares selected cities in the US and around the world to this baseline.

Nice link, but questionable data.

I live around NYC and was just in London. The U.K. is roughly twice as expensive. Not sure if the index is proportional, but if NYC = 100, I'd think London is about 180.

I also question Boston = 76.8 and Atlanta = 76.3. Boston is pretty expensive whereas Atlanta is reasonably cheap.

ladelfina, have you used the above service before? If so, did the report match your experience? Thanks.

oooops!
I thought it was free for subscribers of The Economist.. Turns out it is a separate service you can sign up for on a yearly basis.. since they don't mention the yearly subscription fee it must be megabucks.

A single report runs $520 for pay-as-you-go.. !!

However, it is quite detailed.. if you need to know how much "insect killer spray" varies from Dubai to Seattle.. they'll tell ya!
Sample report here:

Otherwise.. an Emily Latella moment... Neverr mind.
