Audrey,

What's the point of sailing if there's not another sailboat to race.

Boating 101:
  • Load boat with massive amounts of beer and wine coolers
  • Insert bilge plug (don't ask how I know this...)
  • Launch boat
  • Cruise to secluded cove
  • Tie off
  • Crank stereo
  • Don PFD (personal flotation device)
  • Load floating cooler
  • Jump in
  • Drink

I was out at the local reservoir today, walking my dog, enjoying another stress free afternoon when I get a call on my cell phone. Not one to carry a cell phone everywhere I go, but I figure it might come in handy in case I have a heart attack or something. Anyway, it is a guy wanting to know if I would like to interview for a job at his company. He said a friend of mine told him I might be bored after being retired for a few months.

I told him thanks but no thanks. I thought about this forum and laughed to myself. I guess I have truly made it to the other side. Oh yes, I plan to take this 'friend' off my Christmas Card list.

Would he have done the interview out at the reservoir with you while walking your dog?

I bet you'd corrupt him to the ER lifestyle before the second mile...
