ER is real now........

After so long having ER as a future goal all the little administrative things I'm doing to prepare bring home its reality.

The latest was cancelling my monthly automatic investment plan. I'm still reinvesting dividends and capital gains as I plan to live off a combination of cash, stable value fund and rental income for the first year, but I'm definitely in the spend down mode now.

Reading about people's journeys to ER is, for me, one of the joys of this board. Wish you much luck.

Congratulations. I can imagine that there is a tug of war going on inside you right now .... joy and a bit of apprehension. Keep us posted as you "transition" to your new life. I hope to be behind you very soon !
