Moved to Florida? What did you do with Medicare Supplement?

am planning to move to Florida and want to hear from people who were on Medicare with Medigap when they moved to Florida.

Were you forced to pick one of the Florida supplementals or stayed with your old one? Did you change your Medigap carrier? Did you have to go thru underwriting?

Did you find any community-rated policies or issue-age, or attained age only?

Please, share your experience. All advice or comment is appreciated!

Anyone on Medicare who is thinking of moving out-of-state, can elect to keep their current Medigap (supplemental) policy.

Medicare Supplement Plan G in Florida

It seems all you hear being pushed here in Florida are the Medicare Advantage plans. Personally I don't want to be told which doctors or hospitals I must use. For these reasons I decided I would rather have a Medicare supplement plan. I looked at Plan F supplements but after doing lots of research I found the Plan G Medicare supplement is almost identical and much better rates her in Florida.

^ Probably a result of the large marketing budget for these MA plans due to the demographics of Florida.
