Great pictures. Looks like fun, but a little chilly.

Those flukes are headed to Hawaii. Try the whale-watching over here from November-February...

Those pics came thru a bit dark. Better than someone
blubbering about their troubles though.

Will you be getting anywhere near a place called "King Salmon"? Or will you be staying in the "greater Juneau metroplitan area"?

Al, is that beaver wearing a fishing hat?

Razz,

King Salmon (which I have been to), is located in South Western Alaska. We are just cruising the Eastern Alaskan Panhandle.

Ok . Was gonna ask you to say "hi" to the folks of the old neighborhood.

Mentally, I tend to separate my life into 2 halves. One half is the year I lived in King Salmon, and the other half is all the rest

We did the Alaska Northwest Passage cruise in 1996 on the Celebrity Horizon (vancouver roundtrip). Alaska is truly beautiful and well worth seeing.

One of the highlights was seeing the zillions of salmon jumping ladders and spawning in a broad shallow river just outside of Ketchikan. Take a tour there to see it.

Our weather was about like yours when we went. Mostly overcast and occasional sprinkles - nothing heavy though.

Are you getting enough to eat on that cruise ??

What Cruise Line are you on?

Awesome, definitely on our to-do list. We did the poor man's version a couple years ago. We drove up to Seattle and took the ferry over to Victoria, then did a day trip on a Zodiac (?) to follow the killer whale pods around. I just can't compete, CT! Not yet, anyway! ;)
