Re: Back from Belize with a few Pictures.............

Wow, great pictures, I was all ready to book my trip until the last picture, though! Please tell me that isn't you holding it! I get week-kneed at the site of a big spider!

It sure is fun to look at the pictures -- thanks for posting them.

Nice cabana!

Cut-throat was out scrounging for bait when he found that scorpion. How do you think he catches all those fish?

Damn, that's a big scorpion. Is it dead?

Other questions- to the right rear of the Mayan house is what looks like a smokehouse. Is it? What do they smoke? I see some of the concrete block supply got used in making it- what else do they do with all that block? Last- is the garden patch in front zucchini?

Ha

Nice!
I think you mentiond the resort name before you went, but would you mind refreshing my memory? I promise I'll bookmark it this time.

Was the snorkeling near the resort, or did you go on a trip?

I will go again, but only to El Pescador - It was the best Hotel/REsort we have ever stayed at. You can go snorkeling there, but have to take a 2 hour boat ride to the Reef. They have an overnight cabana at the reef that you can spend the night at. We did not do the reef there this time, but will next time.
So you are saying you didn't like Blackbird? Or just not as much?

I would like to be closer than a 2 hour ride to the reefs, I think.

Thanks for the additional info.* All diving all the time is what I would like, but SO likes his "do nothing" time and hates constant wind... hm.

DW just looked over my shoulder and said, "those are great pictures, that must be the guy that got you excited about seeing his wife in a swim suit."

I notice there are no pictures of her snorkeling here, hmmph!

Wonderful pictures, Cut-Throat.

Although from the first five photos I must say that it's time for a new pool-cleaning service...

Stuck on an island with nothing to do but snorkel and dive?

You've been married way too long. I can think of 15 other things to do on an island besides snorkel and dive.

After spending some time in that part of the world, I was amused to occasionally see a satellite dish on one of those stick shacks, and I was very entertained by the small squat stucco building shaped like a mayan temple with the sign "Mayarama Video Rentals" out front. I saw several. Must be a chain.

Being single, only one comes to mind.

What do you do with the other 23 hours and 59 minutes?

What are the other 14 things to do ?

No satellite dishes at these Mayan Villages. Where exactly were you?

I'm afraid I'm not authorized to tell you anything further on that first matter Suffice it to say the other 14 require a bottle of tequila, some baby oil, a box of band aids and a lot of cardboard.

Crap, my memory sucks...corazal? Corozol? corolzol? Something like that. Although now that I think about it, the 'mayarama video rental' was in mexico a little further up the coast from where you are.
