Off to Thailand
Well, I am almost all packed. I moved most of my limited stuff into my friend's storage shed. I just have to pack up my folding bike tomorrow and will be ready to board the plane this Tuesday. This is my 1st PT long term overseas trip, and didn't realize how stressful this trip it has become. I began having minor trouble with my left leg and ankle and caught a cold several days ago but I am still syked and looking forward to my 1st "full feature" adventure. I'll be heading to Chiang Mai, staying there off and on for 6+ months. I'll probably make side trips to northern region and the neighboring countries.
I'll try to get through my lazy gene and possibly start a blog with photos. I fear, it might ne too boring for most people unless I let my imagination run wild. Then it would be upto the reading public to figure out whether my story is fact, fiction or a bit of both.

I look forward to the blog. And try to make it at least as pornographic as OAP's, will ya?
Enjoy the adventure!

Safe journey MJ!
If you do any business with Vanguard, you'll probably be out of luck, with respect to web access. Vanguard's website has been down for eight days now and they are in no hurry to restore access for customers in Thailand (asia)...

Re: Off to Thailand
This sounds awesome! I'd definitely check out the blog, "boring" or not. I'm sure it will be more interesting than staring at my beige cubicle walls.
If you're still feeling sick/pain when you arrive, go to one of their nice hospitals. Then go for a nice thai massage.

Re: Off to Thailand
Happy travels, MJ (from a fellow MJ). You'll have many eager readers of your blog from this forum, and I'll be one of 'em. hmmm...think I'd add Thai takeout to my dinner plans this week--in your honor, of course

I did say, i'll need to get over my lazy gene to start a blog. Please, no more pressure or i'll develop premature writer's blog. I will definitely have lots of photos though.

Re: Off to Thailand
Hey! Hearing about your upcoming travels makes DH and I want to go back!!! If you haven't been to Phuket, be sure to check it out. We had an incredible experience there. Took a guided tour of the limestone cliffs and hongs there..."hongs by starlight"....incredible. Let me know if you are interested, I'll look up the details for you.
