The name is silly, and I have to admit that it didn't exactly draw me to play. But after taking a lesson and playing a few games I found it quite addictive. I played for seven hours yesterday, which is not a good idea. And my body is reminding me of this today.

All of which makes the game more playable for beginners, and older folks.
Yes, I guess it's by design that the ball goes a bit slow. It's OK that it goes slow when I hit lightly, but it still bothers me that it doesn't accelerate in speed the way I expect when I hit it hard. It does give me time to get to the ball even when I don't dash out right away. I have a feeling I will enjoy it once I become too old to play tennis. It's good to have a backup, for sure, and you can play pickleball indoors and that helps in the winter time here in Canada .

I'm 56 years old and have been playing racquetball for 42 years. Played last night. I'll leave it at that........
