Retire on $500

I was starting to think there are only 3-4 of us out there, with different hats and a fake mustache, all posting under these different user names.

TH, actually there are only two people on this board, me and you.

'been inside too long' AND kept mis - spelling it as JOB. Even after escaping, suffered from brief withdrawal pangs. But now in witness protection (ER) with a new identity - as long as I stay away from JOB, I won't be recognized.

I had never thought of that! Probably because this is the only board to which I have posted. But I see now that if someone disagrees with your opinion you need only come back as several different people and gang up on the "dissenter". How diabolical. I love it!

Better still, post an opinion and then vehemently disagree with it on principle. ;)

John - you hit the nail right on the head. In fact I dont think its 'many', I think its most or almost all. Most of us escaped our "jail" when we stopped working for da man.

I could participate in a "jail stories" thread, as most of the stories seem almost funny now. Plenty of "how the system doesnt work" fodder. I could even throw in tales of when I had three high school friends all become cops in our home town. For example, we used to get together on saturday nights to drink the beer they confiscated from underage kids, and watch the videos they took of the drunk drivers being interviewed at the police station...while they filled out police reports in advance for common offenses, just leaving the names and dates out.

Someone hand me the mustache. Theres nothing left to reply to and its raining outside...time to disagree with myself.

I do believe
that many people are incarcerated in jails they constructed themselves without even realizing it.
Even if they saw a way out they wouldn't take it. Been inside too long.

But most are just being used by someone else.

You spend your time dealing with flying monkeys and killing evil witches and then the good witch tells you: "thanks for getting rid of the competition, by the way, you've had the ruby slippers on the whole time (sucker, heheheh)."

Heh Heh, yeah, I like it, a "brushes with the law" thread. Geeez, I got more of those than even I like to admit. Again, mainly driving/drinking/drag racing stuff, but some of it is funny. I almost got arrested once for having my shirt unbuttoned ! Once a cop asked me what grade I completed in school, at the time I was a junior in engineering and told him so, then asked "why, what grade did you complete in school ? You wanna study together ?"

----That'll be $200 in violations for the loud pipes !!

Ok, head to "other topics", i've created a Jailhouse Stories thread for us to share.

Due to the 5000 character limit, I'll maintain mine at one story per day. :D

It appears someone is trying the low budget version of the baguette trick...

Man Allegedly Assaults Taco Bell Employee With Chalupa

DES MOINES, Iowa -- A man who claimed he didn't get the taco he paid for has been charged with assault for allegedly pelting a Taco Bell clerk in the face with a chalupa.

Nancy Harrison told police she was working the drive-through Thursday night when Christopher Lame, 24, ordered some food.

He later came into the store, complaining he didn't get the taco he had ordered, police records say. Harrison said that when she asked for a receipt, he went back to his car and brought back the bag.

Harrison said she told him the store was closing, and as she turned away, a chalupa hit her in the face near her right eye. She said she ran into the parking lot and took down the license number as the motorist was driving away.

Lame was identified through the license number.

He is scheduled to appear in court June 15.
