It feels great to finally reach the FI goal after many years of saving and investing. At this point, I'm just waiting for the exit ramp with the golden parachute at the end to fulfill the "freedom" part completely.

That turned out well. So it seemed like a good user name for a website devoted to FIRE.

Loved that!

Beer is one of my primary interests. Love the stuff.
There are very few areas involving beer that I haven't been (or occasionally still am) involved in.

This handle is usually available. Anyone that googled it would probably know my name and who I am, but never worried about it. I've been using it since "Alta Vista", if that rings a bell with any a you young- uns. Even before I walked out of the megacorp, I was freely posting here about my plans to leave. Shoot, they couldn't find their "ear" with either hand, I'm sure they didn't have time to troll for people ready to fire. Now I'm not sure why anonymity is important...I've never made it a priority. We know that the NSA knows who we all are (or would quickly find out if we became a "person of interest"). So that leaves a regular guy that wants to confront me about my take on filling up the 15% bracket with Roth conversions, or something like that. I don't think I'm nearly intersting enough to bother with! So have I said enough for everyone to figure out my handle includes my name? I went on quite a long pitch on anonymity, or lack thereof.

A reminder to me of a path in life I avoided, by the luck of having great parents and adult role models.
