ER about 7 months, but still have the "Aw Crap", it is mostly due to DW having 14 months to go to ER to get pension time in, I get up with her @4 AM and have coffee and make her lunch for the day. I am also doing 5-6 hours/month for old boss to keep some IT systems running for about 5 employees, mostly remote support.

Yeah you're right. It's tough not instantly remembering what day of the week it is. But, after being ER'ed since January, I've grown to understand that being ER'ed means it doesn't matter what the particular day of the week is (except Sunday, of course). It's just fantastic!

I do have to remember Tuesday evenings because I have to put the trash out. Those first few months it didn't happen more than once.

For us it is Wednesday evening and yes it happens a few times a year. We forget the what day of the week it is and don't put the trash out.

I forgot it again this past week. I found that putting it on the calendar doesn't work because it still means that I have to look at the calendar. Now, thanks to the comments on this tread, I have just enshrined it as a task on my cell phone. Now 9PM Every trash day I will get an alarm. Just hope I can remember to carry the phone.

Same here. Luckily DH always remembers garbage day. I would forget without an automated alarm.

I suspect we have kept several of our day-of-the-week traditions (like homemade pizza every Friday night and fish (for some long-forgotten reason) every Monday night) just to keep us moored. And to remember not to run errands on the weekends if we can avoid it. (That last one being crucial in a resort town in the summer.)

Congratulations!

My last day was a Monday too. We were required to be there for an exit interview, which went fine, the HR guy was very nice and listened to everything I had to say.

Then he said, "thank you, now do whatever you want to do". Which I guess is ER
