Lightroom would have done a better job, for instance, of bringing out the detail in the dark portions and probably a little with dampening the highlights. It, also, could use some sharpening.

Other than that... nice bike. <chuckle>

Playing around with GoPro stills. Both 2.77mm, ISO100, container shot at 1/380, coneflowers at 1/800. I only controlled the ISO. Used iPhone GoPro app for preview and remote shutter.

Thanks for your thoughts Ron. I am not sure what Lightroom is. That picture was took the day I bought the bike, with my phone, in their parking lot. Lol.

Just got back from a photo safari to Tanzania. I'm still going to through the photos, but so far this one is my favorite. This is all from the camera, no editing. Using a Nikon Coolpix P530.

Nice shot, Gotadimple!

Nice Bike & photo, Guzzi - Lightroom is a photo editing and cataloguing program from Adobe.

Morning light is always great! This game drive began at 6 a.m. Serengeti National Park has miles of unpaved road for exploring the plain. Traffic is restricted to licensed tour companies, which keeps the traffic manageable, and generally, everyone stays on the trails.

These lions were in the grass about 7:30 a.m. This is the final of about 8 shots taken just before 8 a.m. Sunup is 6:15 a.m.

The lionesses and yearlings moved from the grass alongside the Land Cruisers and down the road to a dip in the road where runoff had collected. I took this shot from the Land Cruiser as we made our way on a new path to the left of the dip. We did not disturb the water they were drinking. They are used the vehicles and have no interest in the people in the vehicles. However, if you go outside the vehicles, the rules change!

Some very nice shots being posted. Sorry I haven't been around much - too many things to do. Heading west in a week, so hopefully I'll have to grab some photos. I'm still enjoying following the thread.

For those interested, B&H Photo has the X-rite Colormunki Photo on sale, which doesn't happen often. It will calibrate your screen but there are far cheaper tools for that task alone. But it will also create custom paper profiles for your specific printer and paper so the screen and the printer are "on the same page" (sorry, couldn't help that one) when it comes to color management.

Add in a Colorchecker and you have your camera, display, and printer all calibrated to the same standard. I'm a bit fussy about color being accurate so I like this stuff.

Search on "photo color management" and you'll find enough reading to keep you busy for at least a week.
