Excellent, I think the night one is beautiful, and somehow the day one makes it look drab. Perhaps its all the grey.

Nice lightning photo! Do you have a lightning trigger or do you just leave the shutter open and hope for the best?

Caught by my Browning wildlife motion detecting camera, about 100 ft. from my house. This guy was photographed in my neighbors yard about an hour an half later then forded a nearby brook and wandered off in the this woods. I ride my ATV on this trail on our property and often the camera will get deer, coyotes, turkeys, etc. on it, mostly at night.

On motion, the camera takes 8 pictures 1 second apart.

From downtown Chicago to Santa Monica. We have done that. Great "Bucket List" item.

Uh oh, you're going to get sucked in like I did....

I can spend way more time than is healthy playing with Photoshop. Elements is a great way to learn it and you can do 90% of what the full version will do. But then after a while you want that last 10%....

I know - its addicting. I'll really have to dive in deep this winter when I have more time. Hopefully I won't get far enough that I want that last 10%!

New to the forum

Happy to see the photography section. I love to combine hiking and astrophotography. Here's a shot I took last week of the Milky Way over Mt Rainier.

Sony A7RII
Rokinon 14mm
Ioptron Skytracker
Combination of two 4 minute exposures

The Photographers' Corner

Awesome! Great composition with the Milky Way directly over the mountain peak. Looks like a volcano.

Impressive! Nothing like happening to be in the right place at the right time.

I'm just back from Norway. It's a beautiful place, but the weather did not cooperate a lot of the time. As I process the photos I'll put some up. This was from a boat tour along the Osterfjord out of Bergen.

During our recent trip to the interior of BC, we happened upon a mother and baby moose. Taken from the SUV.
