Great shots frayne, FIREd, esplanade and Walt!
This photography stuff is addicting. I went to a wedding and wedding reception last night, and found myself watching the photographers most of the night to see what they were doing

Love the photos. Sorry I haven't been posting/commenting much - in the middle of a kitchen remodeling job. Maybe next week...

Took several shots of a sunset over Green Bay in Door Co, Wi a couple of weeks ago. None of them looked good. I took 3 and created an HDR that looks a little crazy

Looks pretty neat! Going to pause in the kitchen remodeling today and go for a walk. Take the camera along...

Too many to list or point out a favorite. TED talks on photography. As usual on TED talks, most will make you sit up and notice, many are amazing.

We've got to get to Vancouver a Island someday. Heard it's beautiful.
Like the egret Ronstar. Have some heron shots from yesterday, but couldn't get close enough for anything good.

I know what you mean about not getting close enough. My egret shot is highly cropped (and grainy) at 600mm from about 250' away. Your duck shots look nice - you must have been fairly close to the ducks. Maybe egrets spook easier

A home on one of the 1000 Islands on the Saint Lawrence River. I looked on the Web, and found that this was perhaps the most photographed island home.
And here's my duck shot taken on the same river, for comparison with earlier duck shots.

This one has nice fall colors, even though there is a single leaf in this forest:

Just home from Peru, and this is my favorite photo of the bunch. Really like when I can capture a slice of life moment, such as the case here. Those are the Andes looming in the background.
