Today Is the 1st Anniversary of My Early Retirement

I am writing this from Playa Del Carmen, MX while drinking a beer!
No, I did not retire here. Celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary.
Year 1 has been outstanding!
A few details: retired from being a school principal at age 52, wife continues to work. Only child in final year at university.
Have looked at employment, but nothing drew me in.

Every day is playing hookey from work.

Incredible! I certainly wish I had discovered this idea/lifestyle earlier so that I could be there having a beer as well!

Congrats on 21 years! I see you are another of the 70+ club. I just joined that club this year. Keep up the good work!
