Update week two of my 13 week sentence in Newark,NJ

Hey another week done, and I must say, I work with idiots. Yes the educational system in our inner city public schools is awful.

We went to block periods this year 85 min classes, heck I need to hand out pillows in my health classes. They sure are not listening. 7 pregnant seniors, most due in feb and march. I guess this past spring was a Fu** Fest!!

I had a student ask this question after we were talking about abstinence and trying NOT to be sexually active.

Is it ok if I give my boyfriend a blow *OB since I think intercourse is against my religion?? I cannot make this stuff up!!

I must say it was hard to keep a straight face, the whole room went bananas!

One of the funniest situations I have ever had in a class in almost 30 years of teaching.

Why certainly. Just make sure to go to your Church, Temple, Mosque, etc. and ask for forgiveness and all will be fine. Just to be certain, you might consider throwing your Priest, Rabbi, Imam, etc. a hand *OB for good measure.

Newguy88 at least your student was at least weighing the appropriateness of oral sex with her boyfriend. My daughter teaches in a suburban high school and one day when she took a sick day to have a root canal, one of her students actually performed the deed on her boyfriend while the substitute teacher was asleep at his desk. In sight of the whole class!

I hope someone tells these boys and girls that although oral sex can't result in pregnancy it can result in STDs of the mouth and throat, as well as the male genitals – and often neither party knows their status.

Make math relevant: model communicable diseases.

Man did i get cheated as a young teen,nothing good like that happened to me .I didnt even get to have sex with my teachers.
I had to grow up learning about the female anatomy from the african section in national geographic.
