Web sites for the RVing Lifestyle
In Dec and Jan I've had a flurry of PMs asking about various aspects of RVing, campgrounds, etc. There are several web forums chock full of information to help the RVer. These are generally much better than the few books available, plus you get to ask questions!
I thought I'd post these here as a general reference (and then I can link to it!). Best site for finding a decent RV Park/campground: www.rvparkreviews.com Good general RVing sites: http://www.trailerlife.com/cforum/index.cfm http://escapees.infopop.cc/eve/forum...rm/f/307606751 Best sites specific to the fulltime RV lifestyle: http://www.trailerlife.com/cforum/in...s/forum/33.cfm http://escapees.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/frm/f/147607461 "Escapees" is a wonderful non-profit org dedicated to supporting/facilitating the RV fulltimer. If I'm trying to figure out the best route somewhere, congestion issues, etc: http://www.trailerlife.com/cforum/in...s/forum/30.cfm Even if you aren't considering the lifestyle - the sites above are fun for living vicariously! Rv-dreams.com is our favorite too. The author also has a blog with daily posts starting from about 9 months prior to full-timing. They're now a little over a year as full-timers. Here's the blog:

Re: Web sites for the RVing Lifestyle
Of course there is also the classic blog of "Tioga George". George has raised minimalist (super cheap) RV living to a high art. His lifestyle is far from typical, but it's impressive.

Re: Web sites for the RVing Lifestyle
My favorite fulltimer site is Andy Bairds: http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
I especially enjoyed reading about his decision to retire early and go full time: http://www.andybaird.com/travels/fulltime/index.html

Re: Web sites for the RVing Lifestyle
Here is one on RV technology. Very useful information with a unique spin on things.
These are refered to as Fred's Poop Sheets....or Phred's as he likes to call himself. http://phrannie.org/phredex.html
